Here’s something that I should have posted on my blog a long time ago.

I like Vimeo (youtube look-a-like) so much, because of its fast conversion and HD capabilities. and HD is automatically turned on if you’re uploading an HD video, and I guess that’s what makes it so special :)

I think that this would be the best candid shot I’ve taken by far. Post-processed it in Lightroom to give it a much more dramatic feel. This photo happens to be also my gift to Abdullah & Sabrina. I printed it on a 11×14 matte paper, and oh man, the details completely stunned me.

And thank you Abdullah and Sabrina for letting me being part of your lives. It was a wonderful experience. I loved how you guys and all your relatives were super easy to photograph :) All 5 events were definitely worthwhile :) And during that time I got to learn a bit about your religion too!

Abdullah + Sabrina Ceremonies

After I shot their engagement party; they asked me to come back and shoot their ceremonies. The first one, which was on August 15, and second on August 16. The first ceremony is where the bride is treated like a queen. Her relatives and close friends feed and decorate her. And the next day, the groom is treated as king. And this coming Friday, I will be shooting their wedding. So stoked!

After the bride was being shown how much she would be missed, she just couldn’t help it, but her brother was here to comfort her :

And eventually all stories have a happy ending…

Well…uhmm….at least most of them.

Slipknot @ Mayhem Festival 2008

I was so stoked for Mayhem Fest and I’m so glad it didn’t rain on 08.08.08, unlike every single days of the weeks.

Mayhem fest was a blast. Dragonforce was very entertaining and Slipknot was absolutely mind-blowing! I love their new masks, and their new promo single “Psychosocial” is so dope. So happy that I got to see 2 of my favourite bands :D

Abdullah & Sabrina’s Engagement Party

July 25, 2008. It was such a great party. Beautiful sunset, along with all the lit candles outside the bride’s house, created such a romantic atmosphere and intimacy, couldn’t ask for more. All the guests waiting outside, waiting for the groom to show up in his beautiful car. Just like what you would see in a movie.

The bride’s dress? Wow! Gorgeous!

Warped Tour 08 (Jul 19,2008)

I just couldn’t wait to shoot Protest the Hero, Anberlin, Every Time I Die, Gym Class Heroes, and all the other kickass bands. But then, it started to suck, because the weather was awfully hot for the first few hours, which I guess was OK. After that, it got cloudy and the temperature cooled down which was really good. Then, out of nowhere, it started to rain…heavily - like it was gonna flood. So I had to leave after Every Time I Die because the rain was absolutely unbearable and I didn’t want to get my gears wet. Which seriously sucks because I couldn’t get any shots of any bands after ETID :(

Edge Fest 08

I never thought that I’d have the chance to photograph one of the biggest event in Toronto. When I found out that Linkin Park, Sam Roberts and The Bravery would be there, I started throwing, breaking and smashing stuffs because I was so happy! Nah, I’m kidding, I was just really happy.

If the temperature was a bit under 25′c and if there was not that much rain, I think the concert would have simply been more awesome.

Travelled to Mauritius in June, spent a month there, had a really amazing time, and shot my very first wedding there! I’m so glad that I got to part one of the greatest moments of two persons getting married.

Azriel’s Curse

Last night I went to check out Azriel’s Curse. It was suppose to be a big show at the Kathedral, but 3 bands didn’t show up and the show ended up finishing at 9pm. But Azriel’s Curse were definitely rockin though.
